PICK-UP

FACILITY

Airport pickup is available to new international students arriving at the Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun. When you have booked your flights, apply for your pickup service at least 07 days before your departure date. A University representative will meet you at the airport and ferry you directly to your accommodation in the campus. This is a free service from the airport to the Uttaranchal University campus.

PRE & POST ARRIVAL

INFORMATION

PRE-ARRIVAL INFORMATION FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
  • Make sure that you bring the provisional Admission Letter issued by the University along with all Certificates/Degrees, Transcripts and 05 passport size photographs.
  • You need to ensure that you have taken all the required vaccinations like Covid-19, Yellow Fever, Typhoid Vaccine, Hepatitis Vaccine, etc. to avoid medical issues.
  • You should inform the Director, International Affairs for the Airport pickup, at least 07 days prior to arrival and should provide the complete flight information.
  • Uttaranchal University is just a 50 minutes’ drive from the Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun either by bus or train (Can consult Director, International Affairs for better mode of transportation).
POST-ARRIVAL INFORMATION FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
  • Only students who have shared their flight details with Director, International Affairs will be facilitated pick-up from Dehradun Airport.
  • Student will report to the Director, International Affairs office, the very next day of his/her arrival in campus along with all the required documents.
  • Students will fill the registration form and submit all the required documents after reading them carefully at Director, International Affairs office.
  • It is compulsory for all international students to get registered at FRRO/FRO within 14 days of arrival in India. University will guide and assist Student with all the required processes.
  • It is the responsibility of the student to visit the Director, International Affairs office in time to complete the required documentations and other formalities.
NOTE
  • Bhutanese & Nepalese nationals shall be required to Register "Form S" under FSIS processing. This is mandatory for all international students from Nepal and Bhutan.
MEDICAL CARE &
INSURANCE

The students are covered by a comprehensive Accidental Medical Insurance to meet any untoward exigencies. The students covered under insurance are entitled to the following benefits/facilities:

Every student is insured for Accidental Medical Claim (Hospitalization) of Rs. 100000/- and Medical Claim (Day Care) of Rs. 10,000/- subject to the terms and conditions of the policy.

VISA
ASSISTANCE
  • If you plan to study at UU in INDIA, you will need to apply for a student visa from the respective Indian Embassy/High Commission/Consulate in your country (or nearest location) before travelling.

  • Visa application can take up to 90 days to process and so it is important to apply as early as possible.

  • You will need to provide a number of documents to support your visa application. Examples of what you will need to provide are below, however, we recommend checking the website of the Indian Embassy/High Commission/Consulate in your country as requirements may vary.
